The things people tend to ask us, all in one place.

If yours isn’t here, get in touch. We’ll point you in the right direction.

Ordering

How do I order?

Most Bramble Living pieces are made to order, one at a time, in our own factory.

Send us an inquiry from any product page and we’ll help confirm the fabric, finish, size, and configuration. Once everything is settled, we’ll send over your final quote and lead time in writing before production begins.

Why is there no “Add to Cart” on most pieces?

Because there are a few things we’d rather get right first.

Most Bramble pieces are made to order, and choices like fabric, finish, dimensions, and configuration can change both the piece and the final price.

So rather than asking you to click “Add to Cart” and hope for the best, we confirm the details with you before anything reaches the factory.

Fewer surprises that way. We’re fond of that.

Can I customize the fabric, size, or configuration?

Very much so.

Fabric, wood finish, and standard configurations can all be chosen as part of our made-to-order collection. Our modular sofas can be arranged in straight, chaise, L-shaped, or U-shaped layouts, and there’s a considerably larger world of fabric beyond what you see online, including the option to supply your own.

Changing the dimensions is a little different. That makes the piece bespoke, taking it outside our standard production runs. Bespoke pieces are quoted individually, carry an additional charge, and usually take longer to produce.

Tell us what you have in mind and we’ll tell you what makes sense.

Can I get fabric samples before I commit?

Of course.

Visit the showroom to see and feel the full range, or ask us to send swatches so you can see the colors in your own space, in your own light.

For project clients, we’ll always arrange samples.

Lead Times

How long does a made-to-order piece take?

Pieces from our collection typically take 6 to 8 weeks in production.

Bespoke pieces, including modified dimensions or fully custom designs, usually take 8 to 10 weeks, and occasionally longer depending on the piece.

These are guides rather than fixed dates. Complexity, scale, and quantity can all affect the schedule, so we’ll confirm your timeline in writing when your order is finalized.

Why does it take that long?

Because quite a bit happens between placing the order and taking a seat.

The timber is dried in our own kilns, the frame is cut, the foam is shaped, and the upholstery is applied by hand for your particular piece.

It’s a proper production process, and one we prefer not to rush.

The Furniture

Where is Bramble Living furniture made?

In Solo, Central Java, at our own factory.

Our family has been making furniture there since 1991, in a region with a long furniture-making tradition. Today, the same factory produces Bramble Living alongside furniture for international markets.

We mention that it’s our own factory for a reason. We know who made your furniture, where it was made, and, should the occasion arise, where to send it back to be put right.

What’s inside a Bramble sofa?

A solid mahogany and engineered hardwood frame sits underneath it all, kiln-dried in our own kilns and precision-cut.

From there, a unique blend of different foam densities is formulated for the seat, back, and arms, depending on what each part of the sofa needs to do. Then it’s upholstered by hand.

It’s the same construction we use for hotels and villas, where furniture tends to lead a rather less delicate life.

What fabrics do you offer?

The colors shown on each product page are a starting point, chosen to show how a piece reads in different tones.

Beyond those, we work with a wide network of fabric mills and vendors, so there’s rather more available than we could sensibly fit onto a product page. You’re also welcome to supply your own fabric.

Fabric choice affects the final price, so we’ll confirm it as part of your quote. If you’d like some guidance, our team can help you find the right option for both the piece and the room.

Will velvet work in Bali’s humidity?

Yes, with normal care.

Upholstered furniture in a humid climate appreciates a little airflow, a fan or AC in closed rooms, and being kept away from prolonged damp.

Nothing too dramatic.

You’ll find the full routine on our Product Care page.

Can I use the furniture outdoors?

No.

Our upholstered pieces are designed for indoor use. Even a covered terrace exposed regularly to humidity and sunlight will shorten the life of the fabric and foam.

Best to keep these ones inside.

Payment

Simple terms. No mysteries.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept bank transfer, as well as credit and debit card payments via EDC at our showroom.

An administration fee may apply to card payments.

Do you take a deposit?

Yes.

Made-to-order pieces are confirmed with a 50% deposit, with the remaining balance due before delivery. The deposit is what puts your piece into production.

Display and ready-stock pieces are paid in full.

Delivery, Installation & Warranty

Do you deliver and install?

Yes.

In Bali, our own team handles delivery and installation, with free delivery within 30 km of our showroom. We’ll put everything in place, set it up properly, and take the packaging with us when we leave.

Elsewhere in Indonesia, we work with trusted logistics partners and arrange assembly on site. Cost and timing are confirmed before you order.

You can find the finer details on our Delivery page.

Do you ship internationally?

We do, and we hold our own export license.

International shipping is container-based, which means cost depends considerably on the size and make-up of the order. Every international order is therefore quoted individually.

It tends to make the most sense for projects and larger orders. If you’re considering a single piece, ask us. We’ll be quite candid about whether the freight is worth it.

Speak to our Trade + Projects team to get started.

What’s your warranty?

Every Bramble Living piece carries a 10-year structural warranty on the frame.

Beyond that, there’s a promise we rather like: our workshop will repair any piece we’ve made, for as long as it exists.

The warranty itself covers the structural integrity of the frame. It doesn’t cover cosmetic marks, normal wear, fabric or foam softening over time, or damage caused by misuse, humidity exposure, or external force.

Transport to and from our workshop for repairs is arranged and paid for by the customer.

You can find the full terms on our Returns & Warranty page.
